Program Restrictions and Assistance
RxBLUE is a Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) with a Medicare contract that is renewed annually, and the availability of coverage beyond the end of the current year is not guaranteed. You are eligible to enroll in RxBLUE if you are entitled to Medicare Part A or enrolled in Medicare Part B and you live in the state of Louisiana. You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium if not otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another third party. You may only be enrolled in one Medicare Part D plan at a time. If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage HMO or PPO plan or a Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) plan that includes Medicare prescription drugs, you may not enroll in a PDP like RxBLUE unless you disenroll from that other plan. If you are enrolled in a PFFS plan that does not include Medicare prescription drugs, or if you are enrolled in a Medical Savings Account (MSA) plan or an 1876 cost plan, you may enroll in a PDP like RxBLUE.
