Childhood Obesity Prevention Benefits

Good sleep habits are critical. Sleep is just as important to your children's development and well-being as nutrition and physical activity. Not getting enough sleep has been linked with potentially serious health issues. Young children need 10-12 hours each night, while teens need 8-9 hours. Find out just how much sleep your child should be getting.

Getting enough sleep helps your child pay attention, learn and make better food choices. To start, establish good bedtime routines. Sometimes children fall into bedtime habits that are not always healthy. You can help a child who does not want to go to bed or is having trouble staying in bed.
